What These Technologies Are

Cookies are small data files that a website or provider may place in a browser. Browser local storage is a separate mechanism that can keep information on a device. Pixels and tags are code that can send or receive information when a page or action loads. This notice refers to these mechanisms collectively as tracking technologies, but they do not all operate in the same way.

The current website code uses browser local storage for the consent record and approved campaign attribution, and it conditionally loads analytics and advertising tags after the corresponding choice. Providers loaded with permission may use cookies or similar technologies under their own practices.

Your Consent Choices

Optional analytics and advertising technologies are denied unless you choose to allow them. Essential storage remains active because it records your privacy choices and supports core site functions.

On your first visit, you can accept all optional categories, reject all non-essential categories, or choose categories separately. You can return to this Cookie Notice through the Privacy Policy and use its Manage Cookie Preferences control at any time. Withdrawing a previously allowed category reloads the page so optional scripts restart in the denied state.

Essential Storage

Together Recycling stores a versioned consent record in your browser. It contains your analytics and advertising choices, the policy version, and the date of your decision. It does not contain your name, email address, or pickup information.

The consent record remains for up to 12 months unless you change your choice, the policy version changes, or you clear site data in your browser.

Analytics

When you allow Analytics, the website loads the configured Google Tag Manager container to help measure visits, performance, and site interactions. Before the container loads, the website sets Google Consent Mode so analytics storage follows your choice and advertising-related storage and signals remain denied unless you separately allow Advertising.

Google Tag Manager is a container that can load other tags configured outside this website code, and its active configuration can change independently. Those tags must be configured to respect the consent signals provided by the site, and the providers and purposes described in this notice should be reviewed against the active container configuration.

Advertising and Campaign Attribution

When you allow Advertising, the website may load Meta Pixel to measure page views and pickup-interest actions. Meta Pixel does not load when Advertising is denied.

Advertising permission also allows Together Recycling to store approved campaign parameters, such as UTM values or advertising click identifiers, when they appear in the page address. That record may be forwarded to the Together pickup experience to help measure a campaign. It is retained for up to 90 days from the most recent tagged visit and is removed when you withdraw Advertising permission.

Pickup Services and Other Providers

The pickup experience may be provided through Together Recycling service platforms, including GiveToGo and LogixRoute, when you choose to open or use it. Third-party services may process information under their own terms and privacy practices. The website cannot reliably remove cookies or storage controlled by another provider.

Browser and Provider Controls

You can also limit or remove stored data through your browser settings and use controls offered by Google, Meta, or other providers. Blocking essential browser functions may affect website or pickup features. To ask about a privacy or advertising choice, contact [email protected].

Updates

We may update this notice when our tools or practices change. The updated date will appear on this page, and we will provide notice appropriate to a material change where reasonably required by applicable law.
